NZDA National Board 2026/27
The NZDA Board for 2026/27 was announced at our 78th National Conference and AGM in Wellington, with voting held on Sunday 26 July.

National President: Trevor Dibben, Marlborough
Trevor joined NZDA in 2010 and has been Marlborough Branch President since 2016. He came onto the Board as South Island Representative after the 2025 Conference, and has acted as Interim National President since Callum Sheridan stood down. Much of his branch work has been done alongside local DOC offices, including the Molesworth Station goat control programme and deer control in Nelson Lakes National Park, and he wants to see that approach picked up by more branches around the country.
National Vice President: Ash Foley, Rakaia
Ash has served on the Board since 2023 as an independent appointed officer and now moves into an elected role. She came to hunting through a Women's Learn to Hunt course in 2020 and is Branch Vice President, Range Officer and a Provisional HUNTS Instructor at Rakaia. Her background is in agribusiness and banking, and on the Board she has helped set up the Risk and Audit Panel and get the National Raffle running as an annual event.
North Island Executive: Stuart Langslow (Waikato) and James McKenzie (Wellington)
Stuart is our Sika Foundation rep and is also in charge of delivering our Sika Show stand at Mystery Creek. Stuart's day job is a project manager at a major New Zealand power distributor. Stuart has been re-elected for a second term. James joins the Board after four years on the Wellington Branch Committee, where he has been goat hub leader, Sponsorship Coordinator, Secretary and Club Hunts Convenor.
South Island Executive: Wayne Smith (Marlborough) and Mark Hastie (Otago)
Wayne returns to the Board after a previous term from 2021 to 2023, bringing twenty-five years of governance experience. Mark is Otago Branch President and led the work that reopened the Blue Mountains Recreational Hunting Area to hunters in 2023.

Thank You to Exiting Board Members: Hamish Orr and Willy Iglesias
Hamish Orr steps down as National Vice President and Willy Iglesias also leaves the Board this year. Both have given a lot of their own time to NZDA, and the organisation is in better shape for it.
